Tenderloin and cheese curds were delicious. Always a great selection of ice cream!

I've tried almost everything on the food menu and my only complaint is the Mac and cheese, they're ice cream is to die for, love it

Ice cream! That's what you want at the Big Dipper! There's a good selection of flavors, and they know how to make a good float here. They even have Grasshoppers on the menu (not the insect kind; the sort-of-a-crunchy-mint-sundae kind). If you're hungry for a hamburger or corn dog or cheese curds, they've got that too, and an assortment of specials. This isn't high-class cuisine, but the food is solid DQ-class. The large Angus-beef burger is particularly satisfying. This is the place to go in Converse for ice cream and burger-and-fries eats with a family friendly, slightly nostalgic soda-fountain atmosphere. Be sure to savor the smell of the ice-cold XXX Root Beer (a company based out of Lafayette, IN, iirc) before you guzzle it down!

Prom night...group of my daughters' friends go here to have dinner before prom. My daughter broke her ankle a couple of weeks ago and is on crutches. As if this isn't stressful enough, she was made to feel like crud because she was running late. Of course she is running late!! After the kids left, I made a call in to management, who half hearted apologized. She wasn't concerned with the treatment at all, making me believe she could have been the one doing it. They have lost a customer with us, for good. What a way to start off her prom night!

A little pricey and their shakes tastes really milky rather than flavorful. Nice staff and cute building.
